Tice Elementary School features a beautiful, historic school located near the Caloosahatchee River. Established in 1926, Tice Elementary School serves students in grades kindergarten through fifth grade, life skills, social functioning, and ESE pre-kindergarten. Tice Elementary School is located in the East Zone of the School District of Lee County.
Tice has been described as a “place of JOY” because of the positive school culture found throughout the campus. In the 2023-2024 school year, only 10 behavior referrals were earned by students and the school was recognized by the Florida PBIS program. Tice collaborates with the FGCU Kindness Club throughout the year. The FGCU College of Education consistently selects Tice as the host site for future teachers due to the positive experiences provided to college students.
The facility is well-maintained and features gardens in the center of campus. The pollinator garden is an official Pocket Refuge of the J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge. The vegetable garden is also maintained by students as a collaborative project with the University of Florida.
Tice has strong community partnerships that have a significant impact on student learning and life. Due to the generosity of business partners and friends, we have been able to provide school supplies, food, clothing, shoes, teacher supplies, field trips, professional development, staff & student recognition, books, holiday gifts, bicycles, soccer balls, student club sponsorship, volunteers, academic resources, backpacks, campus beautification and more. We are grateful for the support of our community partners!

- Tice was recognized for earning 99 Florida Department of Education points toward the school grade.
- Tice demonstrated “top 3” proficiency growth in the district in ELA, Math & Science and overall (FSA).
- Governor DeSantis student recognition for “Perfect Score” on state tests.

- Tice led the district each quarter for the past 3 years, utilizing Reflex Math technology.
